What we all want

The meeting with Michele Di Stefano, in which many students from dance schools will participate, will move through his work, his poetics, reflecting and thinking about the continuities and ruptures of his articulated work as a choreographer.
A reflection around the irresistible "desire for proximity", the atmospheric event that predisposes alliances and new forms of intimacy for the manifestation of dance.
Atmosphere is "a sensitively and affectively perceptible, and thus existentially meaningful, articulation of realised or unrealised vital possibilities".
It is about considering dance as that thing that is about to produce an environmental information that is not yet there, about considering every action as a making of space, at different levels of depth, atmospheric space, real space, projection, ballistics and so on. It is a matter of putting bodies - one next to the other - in a condition to prefigure this information in other bodies and act accordingly, while at the same time continuing to produce the same signal of potentiality with one's own body. Potentiality of a space that comes, not taking it for granted, must be a fact that is realised much more than an aesthetic gesture.
