There are times when we go back until fthe water, until the day when we were atoms before water, just to the end of the night. Every form of breath begins with water breaking. Every exile goes through it. The poet translates the darkest hour. He embodies the voice of the drowned. He is looking for words that are looking for him. The word doesn’t burn without the voice. She waits for a spark that invokes her, an ear that translates her. In this shattering mouth of darkness we resurface in our beyond of the other. Everyone is water. Everyone meets the stranger. Everyone is master of nothing. Everyone lives his own shipwreck. Many poems burn underwater.
