Thoughts collapse and freeze, stretch and accelerate, are destroyed and rebuilt.
The observer witnesses unravelling performers’ stories, merging through a unique, lively and delicate physicality.
“Last Space” is a journey into the unconscious of Frantics. “Space”- an extract of the piece- has won the first prize at Burgos New York in 2020 and the second price at 34th Hannover Choreographic competition.
Frantics Dance Company. Frantics is an experimental dancing company based in Freiburg, Berlin. Since 2013 and due to their similar artistic vision, the co-founders started their own research in B-boying, Hip-hop, Acrobatics and Contemporary dance.
In 2014 they represented “Praesens” as their first theatre piece, in 2015 they wrote “Senz” and then started an international tour including Italy, Spain, Germany and North Macedonia.
In 2016 the prestigious theatre “Sophiensaele” offered them a funding to produce their piece “Last”, which was prized at Tanztage Berlin in 2017. This piece was performed in Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece and Taiwan. At the end of 2017, they cooperated with the Taiwanese company “Les petite choses” and produced their piece 13. In 2019, “Last Space” was produced, in partnership with the festival “Dance days Chania”. In 2020 they won the first prize in Burgos-New York and second prize at 34th Hannover international competition with “Space”, piece that got also invited to Mash 2021 (Israel). Their particular language is characterized by rapid changes, freezes, isolations and explosive moves, inside a deep theatrical framework. These elements are combined in order to convey the deepest stories that dwell in the spectators’ unconscious. Nowadays they are touring around the world performing, creating and sharing their knowledge with the community.
