Sempre verde, the third element of the Trilogy of Ties, deals with the most complex and mysterious of blood relations: the one between Sister and Brother. The inner lives of the protagonists symbolize an era, feelings and contradictions of our time. The brother comes back after a long wandering. The sister has never moved from her homeland. They meet each other and embark on a journey to get to know each other again. They will be searching for the roots in the present day: uncertainties, fear of failing, a fragile evanescent memory lead them back to their dreaming childhood. The blood nurturing such contemporary Antigone and Polinice is faded and poisoned, it risks being infected by the disease as they can no longer write ther own story . Future is hopeless as well as everyday feelings living in our deepest soul. None the less Antigone openly claims her right to the future.

Notes about direction
The drama, like the the tragedy of Sophocles, stands on an underlying tension: human progress, the violation of taboos, the laws of the State and nature, the force – both wonderful and terrible - leading men to improve their living conditions and yet to destroy them. Unavoidable parts in the history of humanity. So far is regression idea unknown to this generation. Their fractured lives have led them to a bewildering dimension where inner layers of existence, real desires, inner tensions are hardly perceived. “Nothingness” has become their new habitat: void and emptiness are serched for.
The brothers bear choices that other people have made on their behalf, and do not acknowledge them, neither in the past nor in the future. Everything seems compromised and unclear so they stop looking for one another. The two protagonists are twenty-seven and thirty years old: they swim, roll over, seek and like in a mirror, they find themselves in the other’s familial blood. Yet is blood and its eternal contradictions really the only possible legacy?
